Weathering the storm
I know times are tough and a lot is going on right now. In a couple of years we will look back on 2020 and either remember it as the year disaster struck and the COVID-19 pandemic consumed our lives, or the year we overcame incredible hardship in the face of a newfound adversary. Things will get better, and things will get worse. We need to do our best to work with what we have and can control so that in the future, when another monkey wrench is thrown at us, we will be better prepared to overcome it.
Many are relying on the U.S. Government to buoy the economy and supplement their income. Considering that according to Forbes, 63% of Americans do not have enough savings to cover a $500 emergency, I thought now would be a worthwhile time to share some of the financial wisdom that I have gained over the years in hopes that it might help others better their lives. If you are reading this and take one shred of knowledge from it, then creating this blog will have been worth my time.
